For some reason it's not loading at the moment. Don't know why. I'll keep checking on it and possibly upload it again.
Thanks for the heads up.
Seth.

Doh! ...and so it is, whoops sorry. Guess I will plan to make it up
then after I learn to read a calendar, looks like a great local
conference. Great to see more Portland mobile companies will be at
CTIA!

Ken & Scott - we'll be at CTIA too. No booth. Would be great to meet
with other Portland Mobile folks at CTIA, even if it means we have fly
to Las Vegas to have a coffee!

CTIA is March 22 - 25 ... I believe this conference is in April. We'll
have a booth there as well!

This looks like a great conference. It is unfortunate that they
scheduled this at the same time as CTIA, something you may want to
share with them for the next round. I would have loved to go to this
otherwise. Any Portlanders going to to CTIA? We will have a booth this
year number 5755 stop by if you can, we will be demoing our new mobile

Voices That Matter: iPhone Developer Conference

Google Groups Posts - 25 min 51 sec ago
I mentioned this last month at our meeting, but forgot to send it to the list until now. There is an iPhone Developer Conference coming to Seattle that looks pretty good.
The organizers have given a $100 discount to Mobile Portland members by using the code PHBLOGS when you register. That makes the conference cost $395 which is really good for a two day conference.

Hi All,
The video from the last meeting can be found here: [link]
The slides didn't turn out well, you can hardly see them. I'm going
to play with the video a bit to try and make them easier to see. I
will repost when that happens. If any one else wants to try their hand

it...and I don;t know the answer.

I've talked with this guy about his BT stack >>> [link]

tooth and infrared), just make some cheap version of it and use the
accelerometer for gesture based controls to minimize the buttons. Who

I believe that one will find that the cost to manufacture and just to
break even is >> $1 even in high volume production in low cost
geographies.
I'm also ignoring Apple's hardware royalties per connector, the
purchase of the connector - which must be purchased from an Apple
approved source - and ignoring the mandatory authentication

Compared to a $200 remote control that needs to be programmed via a desktop
computer, it's really cheap.

But with this method the iPhone/iPad needs to have line of sight with the target device. If the blaster is sitting on the coffee table, or in the entertainment center this need goes away.
I have the bluetooth remote control for the PS3 and it is a subtle but wonderful change when you don't have to aim the remote anymore. Yes, people are that lazy.

I can't believe they're charging $50 for that... it's about $1 worth of
hardware if you're mass-manufacturing it. Also, wouldn't you have to use
your iPhone/Pod/Touch upside down with that?
